Our Host Families

During your time in Ipswich you will stay with one of our host families. We work closely with our host families and we know that you will enjoy the time spent in their homes.
Your safety is very important to us and we regularly visit all our host families to make sure the accommodation is suitable for you. We also carry out security checks with the police and other authorities to ensure your safety.
Many of our hosts have been looking after children from other countries for many years and understand the issues you may have. They will welcome you into their families and treat you in the same way that they would treat their own children. In return we expect YOU to be polite and respect their authority.

A Typical Day

You will be woken at the time agreed and will be given breakfast. Your host family will either drive you to the day's meeting point or you will catch the bus (we supply you with a bus pass).
On days when there is an excursion, the host family will provide you with a packed lunch. On other days you will eat lunch at a local restaurant. After your afternoon activities your host family will pick you up or you will catch the bus home. If you are going to be late or you want to meet up with friends, then you must let your host family know!
The family will feed you in the evening. Usually there will be time for your phones and iPads during the evening, but remember you are there to improve your English.
Bedtime means sleep time! We understand that you are having the best time ever, but you still need to sleep!
